ENGIE Axima joins the Employment Mobility Sport campaign

May 2016

Parcours Emploi Mobilité Sport

In readiness for the 2016 Euro football championships, ENGIE has teamed up with other major corporations in the Paris region in this initiative in favor of work-study programs, while also forming ties with the 2016 Euro.

As part of this program, the ENGIE Axima’s Mickael Koskas, a foreman in the Courbevoie maintenance depot, will become the mentor of the young Yacine Khalil. This operation is being organized in cooperation with ENGIE’s partner FACE (a foundation that takes action against social exclusion), which helps youngsters to find a job through coaching and networking. The operation has three goals:

  • to prepare 50 young people, male and female and aged between 18 and 25, from underprivileged neighborhoods, for post-high school work-study programs in just 3 months,
  • to mobilize and involve businesses in this program through mentoring, company visits and 50 3-week immersive work experiences,
  • to take concrete action in the fight against exclusion by qualifying and integrating youngsters without any professional background in the long term.

The bonus. The candidates selected to take part in this Employment Mobility Sport program will be invited to attend one of the 2016 Euro matches at the Stade de France.
